Well here’s something a little out of the ordinary! . My FIRST BLOG post . . and a Vintage Fashion Shoot including a few cows and a white horse named Harry!
Exactly a month ago myself and 3 lovely ladies set out to Willows Farm in Warton to do something a little different with our spare time. A chance to experiment with the tools of our trades . .
This took a couple of months planning and thank you to Emily Ramm (vintage stylist), Rachelle Grimes (MUA), Jo Wignall (Hairdresser), Rose Porter (model) and Sam Gawn (Harry the Horse’s mum), we were able to team up together and create some quirky images. Including ‘Harry the Horse’!
First we had to prep our model, Rose. She sat through bad jokes from myself, a make up transformation, and lots of hair pulling. Once she was prepped Emily dressed her and off we went into the windy, chilly fields of the farm taking photos 🙂 Harry was a good boy and let Emily put ribbons in his hair too . .
We decided to have 3 – 4 different looks starting with a more natural look, building up to a very dramatic, bold and quirky look. This even contained a bright yellow head piece larger than Roses head!
Harry the horse even got in the images and he was great. So thank you Sam for allowing us to use Harry.
On the farm we used a range of different objects that we stumbled across. This included logs, fences, hay stacks, barns, fields, tyre tracks, crates, we made friends with a bunch of cows and i tried not to blind Rose with my reflector. We even used the sky as a backdrop when the clouds cleared.
As you can see from the images below we has such a great day. It was amazing to work with such a lovely group of people and I can’t wait to do the next shoot. Thank you to you all. This wouldn’t have happened without you all.
